Mr. Speaker. it has been bandied about that the House Committee on Appropriations has been pressuring the present administration to demand repatriation of a very substantial number of the million Palestinian refugees in Israel. As a member of that committee and as a supporter of the State of Israel since before its independence I did not believe this to be so and have been fearful of the consequences upon the economy and security of the State of Israel of repatriation of too many Arab refugees in Israel. Accordingly. on July 14 last I addressed the following communication to the Honorable Dean Rusk. Secretary of State: Hon.
