The Sudeten German Days of the past have shown the adherence of the Sudeten German people to the principles of democracy. free enterprise. political and economic freedom. and political and human justice toward other people and nations. Out of the total of 13 million German expellees and refugees. including those from the Soviet Zone of Germany. the Sudeten Germans who had been deported from Czechoslovakia by the Communists in 1945 represent a most active and proAmerican element. They have their representatives in the Federal and State legislatures. in the Federal and State governments in West Germany. and they have built up their free economic enterprises in Germany. Their representatives have been in contact with numerous U.S.
