The progress and results of these efforts are startling. In addition to the economic progress made in Israel there remains to be considered the assistance that Israel has provided to the Jewish refugees from all over the world. Persecuted Jewish minorities and remnants of Nazi concentration camps have been taken in by Israel and given homes. thus becoming useful citizens with a feeling that they are part of a community and a nation. This has reassured them of the worth of human dignity and has restored among these people their faith in humanity.
