Session #87 · 1961–63

Speech #870022796

A great number of Hungarians have come to the United States and have made invaluable contributions to our country with their industry and native ability in many fields of endeavor. Our country is the richer for the scientists. the professional men and women. the music and literature that they brought to these shores from their native land. Those who emigrated here have become good and loyal citizens of the United States of whom we can be justly proud. I join those who commemorate this day with the fervent hope that a bright new day will dawn for Hungary when she will become a member of the family of free and independent nations.
