If the Senator from Florida will permit me to make this comment I should like to say that with respect to the reliability of the figures in this field. I am sure the Department of Labor would not report migrant workers who are working illegally. because they would not allow them to work. In our limited hearings and field trips we found illegal workers. Those workers certainly would not be included in the figures. We also found that social security is one bit of our social protection that is afforded to working people who work as migrant workers. However. we looked and looked to find workers who actually had a withholding under social security.
