Labor unions are not kidding themselves on this score. We have only 17 million organized in America out of a potential of 50 million or more. We have migrant workers who are working under conditions that are considered a shame in some States and areas. We have millions of conditions here in America after all our strife. strikes. lockouts. legislation. and a liberal Constitution. how can anyone honestly say we can in the near future raise the standards to make competition reasonable between import and domestic products. I once supported. and still believe. in aiding countries to make them selfsufficient.
