The Tunisian Government has instituted a policy of discrimination and persecution of these people with but one purpose in mind. to drive them out of the land. They are being deprived of their jobs and of every opportunity to earn a livelihood. they have no citizenship status. no political rights. They are simply outcasts whose only choice is either to emigrate from Tunisia or face starvation. Although for the overwhelming majority of them Tunisia is their land of birth. under the circumstances it is not surprising that they prefer to leave this land which is today persecuting them and mistreating them.
