This is designed to meet the demand of some people that the United States do something in this field. May I say again in that connection. that just recently. in the other body it was stated that the United States had not done as well in the refugee field as little Venezuela. As I stated a few minutes ago. ICEMs records show that Venezuela had admitted since 1952. a little over 1.700 refugees in these categories and we had admitted over 300.000. Now. what useful purpose is served by minimizing our efforts. I do not know. but I would like to point out to the gentleman that ever since the cessation of hostilities in 1945. the United States has done its full share.
