Patrick. we not only reach back through the centuries and to the gift of Christianity that he brought to our people. but we are proud of its growth that finds fulfillment in the Ireland of today. There are many of us who have dreamed many times about it. but have never had the opportunity to visit the land of our forefathers. We are familiar with the sufferings and the glories of the past through the memories of the early immigrants--memories that have been carried forward through the generations. And we wonder how things are with Ireland today. The Republic of Ireland is about the size of the State of Maine.
