In Cleveland he would find a city where people of Polish. Hungarian. Czech. Greek. Slovak. Rumanian. and Russian descent live in harmony and warmth with people descended from immigrants who came from every corner of the world. He would find all people living together in comfort and friendship. He would discover a city whose government is comprised of persons from all these divers groups. governing wisely and well. not narrowly for their nationalities or particular group in which they have their roots. but for the welfare of all Clevelanders. The mayor of Cleveland. Anthony Celebrezze. will welcome him. In addition to our people. he would see the great might of American industry in one of the most industrially concentrated areas of the Nation.
