An important departure was made 3 years ago when Representative SAUND. a naturalized citizen. a native of India. was elected to the Congress and. I am happy to say. reelected at the last election. And now. for the first time. we shall have in the Congress two Representatives of other ancient asiatic stocks. This is a demonstration which the whole world will understand. It cannot be but of incalculable benefit to us as a Nationboth for our own sake. and for our role in this troubled world.
