He worked for and encouraged the development of rural Arkansas. was a leader in boys and girls club work. and was an outstanding advocate and promoter of rural electrification. He left his mark upon his adopted country. Douglas G. Wright. Administrator of the Southwestern Power Administration. was the speaker at the dedication of the John H. Hobbs Memorial Substation at Cassville. Mo.. on June 8. 1959.
