In recommending the increase. the committee has emphasized that it hopesfor a vigorous and effective program of enforcement of the antitrust and kindred laws. The committee has allowed the entire amount requested for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. to wit. $114.600.000. It has allowed for the Immigration and Naturalization Service the amount of $55.5 million. which is an increase of $1.792.000 over the appropriation for the current fiscal year. With regard to the Federal prison system. the total included in the bill is $49.1 million. which is an increase of $6.056.000 over the amount appropriated in the current fiscal year.
