When one considers that every time a ship is idle for any appreciable period. it requires from $75.000 to $200.000 in ship repairs and maintenance to return it to active service. a technicality of our immigration laws should not deprive our American shiprepair yards and. more generally. the economies of our American ports of this additional Income.
