He was born in Russia of German parents and came to the United States in 1910 and as soon as possible thereafter he became a naturalized citizen. He is an individual. therefore. who really appreciates America and Americanism. He is a graduate of the North Dakota public schools and served as a private in World War I. seeing service in Belgium and France.
