I have known TOM JENKINS for a lifetime. He has served for 34 years in the House of Representatives. His first assignment was to the Immigration Committee where he did outstanding work for the protection of the United States of America. Later he was promoted to the Ways and Means Committee of the House. where his career was indeed a distinguished one and where he was the author and the father of a great deal of most important tax and revenue legislation. He was the dean of the Ohio delegation and chairman of our delegation. of course. here in the House.
