Mr. President. on May 1. 1958. the Senate passed Senate bill 1782. to provide for the restoration of United States citizenship to a former United States citizen who lost her citizenship by her failure to return to the United States prior to October 13. 1946. On July 29. 1958. the House of Representatives passed the bill with an amendment to provide for her admission to the United States as a nonquota immigrant. to which status she was entitled during her minority. through her United States citizen father. The amendment is acceptable. and I move that the Senate concur in the House amendment to Senate bill 1782.
