Mr. President. on February 6. 1958. the Senate passed S. 2060. to grant to the minor child to be adopted by United States citizens the status of a nonquota immigrant. which is the status normally enjoyed by the alien minor children of United States citizens. On June 4. 1958. the House of Representatives passed S. 2060. with an amendment to provide that the natural parents of the beneficiary shall not. by virtue of such parentage. be accorded any right. privilege. or status under the Immigration and Nationality Act. This language Is acceptable. and I move that the Senate concur in the House amendment to S. 2060. The matter has been cleared with the minority.
