The fear has been expressed that the admittance of adopted orphan children with tuberculosis constitutes a serious health menace. Mr. President. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Holt of Creswell. Oreg.. have performed outstanding humanitarian service in helping many hundreds of mixedblood Korean orphans find good homes in the United States. They have freely expended of their time. health and funds in behalf of this worthy project. Since the enactment of the immigration law of 1957. a small number of adopted Korean orphan children have entered our country who are suffering. or are suspected of suffering. from tuberculosis. Many of these children have been treated at the National Jewish Hospital at Denver. Colo.
