Ever grateful for the freedom and opportunity the country provided. the Lithuanian immigrants became outstanding American citizens. America has been grateful for the contributions. In all parts of the country American Lithuanians have provided leaders in their chosen field of endeavor. The list of outstanding Americans of Lithuanian descent is long. Mikas Petraukas. Anna Kaska and Shirley White are familiar names to theater lovers. Jack Sharkey. Jack Goodman. Vito Tamulis were prominent sports personalities. Many more have. and are serving faithfully in. public office throughout the country.
