During the district tour we personally interviewed. about 417 people and during the evening and public meetings. approximately 1.685 were in attendance. I was highly pleased with the results of these meetings since it afforded me an opportunity to become better acquainted with the people and problems of the district. In many instances we could be of service in explaining legislation and to give careful study to the personal problems presented to us. Many of the cases brought to our attention had to do with: First. Veterans benefits and claims. the coverage of the new laws relative to those who have worn the uniform of our country. Second. Immigration. the possibility of new laws. Third. Farm problems.
