President. I ask unanimous consent to have printed in the RECORD an article by Donald R. Larrabee on the immigration bill which appeared in the Quincy Patriot Ledger. as well as several telegrams which I have received on this legislation. I am very proud to have played a role in the passage of this bill. It marks a major step forward in our attempts to enact more liberal immigration legislation. The bill represents a realistic approach which will have untold and lasting benefits for our country for the some 60.000 to 70.000 who are directly affected by it. We have taken action and moved forward in an area where there has been no major progress since passage of the Immigration Act in 1952. My heart is glad for the thousands of American citizens who will now be able under the terms of this bill to be reunited with their families from whom they have been separated because of the workings of our immigration law. Among these are some 33.000 Greeks. Italians. and persons of other nationalities.
