I contend that the adoption of this bill will go a long way in breaking this traffic in human hopes and fears. It is estimated that some 50.000 aliens will benefit. But that can be multiplied threefold when we consider how many American families will profit. This is a family billa bill for the familythe American family. In all conscience. we can do no less. I sincerely and fervently hope that we will not stop with this bill. but that the Congress. recognizing the need for further changes in all immigration laws. will act to cure other deficiencies still remaining to be dealt with.
