Mr. President. if all states in the regionboth Israel and the Arab countriesagreed to contribute to a solution by accepting refugees for resettlement and by compensating refugees for abandoned and confiscated property. there would be a substantial measure of progress toward development and peace. The United Nations Relief and Works Agency. now caring for the Arab refugees. expires on June 30. 1960. It is time to consider placing a greater responsibility on the host governments. if they continue to oppose resettlement efforts. Mr.
