I ask unanimous consent to have printed in the body of the RECORD a letter which I had delivered last Friday to Under Secretary of State Christian A. Herter. The letter concerns one of my constituents. James Masterson. and his wife. Doreen. a British subject who is denied reentry into this country because of the construction that has been placed upon. section 212 (a) (1) (ii) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. When his wife was deported Mr. Masterson accompanied her back to England. For 3 years they have been trying. unsuccessfully. to obtain permission from our Government for her return.
