Speech #850103748

I was more than happily surprised to find in the August issue of the Catholic Digest a most interesting article on Michael Kecki: Voice of Polonia. written by Ralph Land. I have know Michael Kecki for many years and I am proud to say he is one of my constituents from that garden spot of the world known as Greenpoint. in Brooklyn. He is of Polish immigrant origin. who has never forgotten the country of his birth and who every day strives to bring that country into closer alliance with the United States. In his heart and in his soul Michael Kecki knows that it is not difficult to achieve a closer link between Poland and America as far as the people are concerned. From personal exchanges and correspondence taking place between Polish subjects and their relatives and friends in this country he knows that deep roots bind them.
