The State Department. in which our friend worked long and well and. in fact. the whole Government service have profited and been elevated both by the influence of a man like Mr. LHeureux on his colleagues in the service and by the universally favorable impression he created on everybody who had opportunity to know him. in and out of the Government. I had many dealings with him when he was head of the Visa Division. He was always most considerate and fair and helpful with us and with our constituents whose problems we brought before him. I also had some association with him on the Prayers for Peace movement which was so near his heart. and I know of his many other activities as an earnest. sincere. warmhearted Christian gentleman.
