Mr. President. we have read and heard a good deal in recent days about what is called Asiatic fluthe virus which apparently sarted in Hong Kong or Red China and which has now jumped the Pacific and resulted in quite a few cases in various parts of the world. Mans neverending battle against scourges like this proves again how close we are to our neighbors. Germs can cross the Pacific and the Atlantic. So can bombs. and so can ideas. We are fortunate indeed to have in the World Health Organization an outstanding group of men dedicated to the worlds physical betterment.
