I want to note in passing that the United States Government over a period of 20 years spent hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to have one obnoxious alien CommunistHarry Bridgesdeported. without success. Bridges has been convicted of fraud in denying Communist Party membership in attempting to obtain United States citizenship. He had also been convicted and ordered deported on the grounds that he had belonged to organizations advocating the overthrow of our Government by force and violence. Harry Bridges is still with us and still maintains his iron grip on westcoast and Hawaiian shipping as far as the docks and loading of ships is concerned. Every time that a case involving him reached the Supreme Court. that Court found some way to reverse lower court convictions.
