Mr. Speaker. among the resolutions passed at the convention of the Christian Church. Disciples of Christ. held in Buffalo. was the following on the Hungarian refugee program. I believe that this resolution reflects the views of the majority of responsible and informed citizens on this compelling issue. We have a duty to make our immigration policy one that Is totally consistent with our obligations to ourselves and to the world. I urge that consideration be given to the pending legislation in this field without further delay. The resolutipn reads: VII. THE COMMISSION ON SocIAL AcnoN Whereas the Hungarian relief program is one that challenges the conscience of the entire Western World: Therefore be it Resolved.
