Mr. Speaker. I recently had the honor to address a distinguished meeting in New York City of the American Immigration Conference. This organization is composed of numerous fine groups dedicated to the revision of this Nations immigration laws. Their efforts are a powerful force in this tiportant cause. As House sponsor of President Eisenhowers recommendations for amending our immigration statutes. I was particularly pleased to receive yesterday a copy of a statement signed by 39 organizations--most of them members of the American Immigration Conferenceendorsing the Presidents proposals.
