It requires alsoand in this. too. the free world has a vital interestthe cessation of Egypts agitation throughout north and central Africa. indeed. through all the Moslem countries against the free world. with Egypt acting. in effect. as a tool of the Communists. Finally. it requires Egypt to quit blocking the resettlement of the PalestineArab refugees. There are grounds for optimismand to me this is perhaps the most significant of recent developmentsthat our Government is now beginning to recognize the need for calling Egypt to task as to its international responsibilities. and is preparing to do it. No less than clearance of the Suez Canal and an end to EgyptIsrael hostilities wait on it.
