That is correct. I should also like to point out that the Israelis have had to accept within their borders thousands of refugees who have been kicked out of Egypt by the Egyptian Government. They need food. Everyone knows that we were negotiating for the sale of surplus agricultural commodities to Israel. Those negotiations have been cut off. The food has been held back. I shall have more to say on this point at a later date. I merely wish to say now that I do not agree with the position the President took last evening. I do not agree that the United States is without an alternative.
