Dulles. has to assume in this difficult and dangerous period in which we live. However. some of us do not feel that this resolution goes to the heart of the difficulties in the Middle East. We feel it would be better to face up to such things as the ArabIsrael dispute. the question of the Suez Canal. the question of Soviet traffic in arms in that area. the question of refugees. the question of subversion. as well as others. Simply because the administration has sent to the Congress a resolution. I do not think we should be placed in the position of having to accept it. as the distinguished Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee said. to the crossing of a "t" or the dotting of an "i."
