Anna Kethly was Minister of State for Hungary. which is equivalent. in our vocabulary. to being Minister of Foreign Affairs or Secretary of State. Miss Kethly recently testified at the United Nations relating to developments in the Hungarian revolution. She has had a record of years of dedication to human freedom and liberty. She has been personally associated with the free trade union movement in Hungary. and has been an active member of the Social Democratic Party. She has sent me a letter which I should like to read. It is very pertinent. in the light of some of the observations which have been made with regard to Hungarian refugees. The letter is as follows: NEW YORK. January 25. 1957.
