His was an exemplary character. A good character is like an acrosticyou read it up and down. from right to left and left to rightit always spells goodness of character. He and I were frequently in the forefront to liberalize our immigration statutes. He believed that the national origins theory. which caused so much grief because of discrimination. should be taken out of the immigration fabric. Jim Lanzetta had great courage and always fought for that which he thought was right. let the chips fall where they may. I can say of him what Webster said. "one man with courage is a majority." He has now gone to his reward.
