The United Nations is obviously at a loss to know what to do about the situation. it offers no solution. Mr. Chairman. the hatreds that have been engendered in the Middle East since the creation of Israel are bitter and intense. One must visit the area to really understand the depth of the hatreds that exist. Arab refugee conditions are beyond description and they are a disgrace to the civilized world. Yet Israel is a recognized member of the family of nations and no doubt it is here to stay. But the Arabs are convinced and determined that some day they will drive this little nation into the sea.
