Speech #850004085

AntiDefamation League of Bnai Brith. Washington. D. C. DEAR MR. EDELSBERO: I was surprised to see you quoted in the press as having said in one of your recent public appearances that I have "blocked." or "stopped." or "prevented from being enacted" some liberal immigration legislation In the closing days of the last session. Knowing how carefully you observe the Washington scene and particularly what is going on in the Congress. I would assume that you were fully familiar with the facts. Thus. I believe that you are aware of the fact that the legislation to which you apparently referred in your talk was conceived. prepared. and recommended by none other than myself.
