Session #85 · 1957–59

Speech #850003808

I would like to read into the RECORD one of the typical letters of the heavy number being received by my office each day on this matter. This letter is written by Mr. and Mrs. Leslie E. Wilson of Medford. Oreg.. and states as follows: DEAR MR. PORTER: We are writing to ask your help and support in the extension of the Refugee Act of 1953. We are fairly young and have planned our lives so that now we live more than comfortably. on investments we have made during the 10 years of our marriage. There is a need in every home for a child.
