Mr. Speaker. the Long Islander. one of the better known weekly newspapers in the United States. has published a series of articles entitled "The Migrant in Suffolk County." I am sure that the problem set forth. as well as the suggested solutions. will be applicable to other areas in this country. Other Long Island weekly papers. in publicspirited and cooperative fashion. have reprinted this treatise. I am sending this to the Department of Labor for study and comment and propose to introduce corrective legislation in the next session of Congress. Here is an example where the weekly newspapers in a congressional district set the standard and provide the impetus for better and more effective laws.
