President. a hearing was held on all six of these bills on May 3. 1956. and it is my thought that no further hearing need be held on the bill I am introducing today. since it makes no changes whatsoever. It is only a composite of the other six bills. This decision is. of course. subject to the concurrence of the other members of the Subcommittee on Refugees with whom I shall consult. Mr. President. I am very sympathetic to the difficulties being experienced by the representatives of the voluntary agencies in working with this very difficult immigration law. I am also responsive to the wishes of these very dedicated representatives who have spent so much time and money in trying to bring refugees into the United States. So. Mr.
