I want to say to the distinguished chairman of the House Armed Services Committee that when I listened to the testimony given to the committee on this matter I was very much impressed with the magnificent work that is being done now in closing up the portals of this country to illegal immigration. We need a man with the ability this general has to fill this job. and he fills it well. so we* will stop this illegal immigration that has been flooding this country. particularly from the Southwest. I certainly hope we will pass this bill and give this man the opportunity to give his talents to the United States Government in this activity.
