Two thousand secular priests and monks. for rightfully refusing to achnowledge the Patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church as their headthis church is now subservient to the Communistswere arrested and deported to slave labor camps. The Reds exterminated all 5 dioceses of the Ukraine Catholic Church. desecrated 4.440 of its churches and chapels together with 195 religious houses. The Communists continue to oppress mercilessly the Ukrainian laity for remaining steadfast to its Christian heritage. church and faith.
