Budrys. secretary of the Racine branch of the Lithuanian American Council. -a resolution relative to Americas continued moral support of the oppressed people of that country. I invite attention to the fact that the resolution stresses that there has been interference on the part of the Soviet Union and its agents in the private affairs of citizens of the United States and of intended citizens of our country. We are all aware that the Soviet Union has been carrying on an intensive worldwide propaganda campaign designed to lure back to their home countries refugees from Communist oppression. as well as members of families still living behind the Iron Curtain. This entire subject of the harassment of our citizens and of wouldbe citizens is a subject which I believe merits the attention of appropriate groups within the legislative and executive branches. I believe. therefore. that the Department of Justice should initiate the appropriate study of this problem.
