LEHMAN. of New York. on July 23. 1955. The occasion for the presentation of these remarks was a pilgrimage to the Nations Capitol of this group which is composed of former inmates of Nazi and concentration camps. They are all newly naturalized citizens of the United States. and the purpose of their visit was to express their gratitude not only to this great country of ours for befriending them but to express to Senator LEHMAN their deep and grateful appreciation for the role he has played in fighting intolerance and tyranny in the world and for his efforts to bring about a liberalized immigration policy in this country.
