DAILEY The Senate proceeded to consider the bill for the relief of Mrs. Lieselotte Emilie Dailey. which had been reported from the Committee on the Judiciary. with an amendment. in line 9. after the word "Justice". to strike out "have" and insert "has". so as to make the bill read: Be it enacted. etc.. That. notwithstanding the provision of section 212 (a) (9) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Mrs. Lieselotte Emilie Dailey may be admitted to the United States for permanent residence if she is found to be otherwise admissible under the provisions of that act: Provided. That this exemption shall apply only to a ground for exclusion of which the Department of State or the Department of Justice has knowledge prior to the enactment of this act.
