This bill provides for a waiver of the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act. which excludes persons afflicted with tuberculosis. On the previous call of the calendar. a similar bill. Calendar No. 452. Senate bill 235. was objected to by the minority calendar committee. I should like to inquire if there is any basis upon which the senior Senator from Minnesota believes this particular bill can be distinguished from the bill introduced by the distinguished Senator from Kansas .
