In June of 1940 the Red armies swarmed into the three small Republics of Lithuania. Latvia. and Estonia and extinguished their freedom. Since then the sufferings of the peoples of these three countries have been intensethe Communist invaders have despoiled them. enslaved them. murdered them and deported them by the thousands. The monstrous crime the Soviet Union has committed in the Baltic countries is one that demands remedial action. particularly at this time when the great powers are planning a meeting "at the summit" to discuss world tensions.
