CARL ANDERSEN. I am glad the gentleman brought up this point about not being too concerned about surpluses. even though that may appear to be quite evident upon our agricultural economy. After having seen the hundreds of thousands of refugees in Israel. in Syria. Jordan and Lebanon. and in Pakistan and the starving millions in India. I think we in this country can be very fortunate that we do have a surplus of food. because if ever the time comes when we get to the point where we do not produce enough for our own people to eat. then these people will have a right to worry.
