The resolution (S. Res. 66) was agreed to. as follows: Resolved. That in holding hearings. reporting such hearings. and making investigations as authorized by subsection (k) of rule XXV of the Standing Rules of the Senate. or by section 134 (a) of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946. insofar as they relate to immigration and naturalization. the Committee on the Judiciary. or any duly authorized subcommittee thereof. is authorized during the period beginning on March 1. 1955. and ending on January 31. 1956. to make such expenditures. and to employ upon a temporary basis such investigators. and such technical. clerical. and other assistance. as it deems advisable. SEC. 2. The expenses of the committee under this resolution. which shall not exceed $102.000. shall be paid from the contingent fund of the Senate upon vouchers approved by the chairman of the committee.
